Karachi Champions League: 2nd semi-final today

KARACHI: The second semi-final of the Karachi Champions League will be played here today between Airport Gymkhana and Shah Faisal Colony Gymkhana.

The winning team will contest with Defense Club in the final.

 

In the first semi-final played last night at the RLCA ground Korangi, Defense Club defeated Korangi Al-Fatah by one wicket to qualify for the final.

Batting first, Korangi Al-Fatah made 138 for six in the allotted 20 overs.

The main scorers were Mohtashim Ali (47), Faisal Athar (37) and M Farrukh (34) while Umar Farooqui claimed three wickets for Defense Club.

In reply, Defense Club achieved required runs in 19.3 overs for the loss of nine wickets.

Faisal Iqbal scored 29 and Fahad Iqbal made 23.

For Korangi Al-Falah, Farrukh captured three while Anis Shaikh and Malik Aftab got two wickets each.
