KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Shah has said that the current state of the jails will be improved across the province while facilities will be provided to the inmates according to the jail manual. This he said while chairing a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister House called to discuss the needs and problems of Jail department. The chief minister has directed the authorities to chalk out a comprehensive strategy for transforming the jails into rehabilitation centers as opposed to the torture cells. He emphasized the current education facilities at the prisons, particularly large jails, should be improved, while special attention should be paid to the ailing inmates for treatment.
